Although equipped therefore, traditionally Cramond is not a Hunting farm and hunting is only initiated when culling of male animals is deemed necessary. To ensure a controlled cull and enjoyable experience for the hunter the following rules & conduct will be applicable at Cramond:
- No weapons of a calibre smaller than 6 mm are permitted to hunt with.
- NO alcohol is allowed into the veldt and/or during a hunt.
- Rifles and the skill of the Hunter’s will be evaluated by the owner or his representative if required..
- All Hunter’s will personally sign indemnity forms before hunting.
- All hunting parties may only enter the veldt if accompanied by the owner or his representative.
- No hunting of any animal or in any form is allowed after sunset or before sunrise.
- All hunting vehicles will be driven by an owner or his representative during a hunt.
- No braaiing or making of fires is allowed in the veldt, camp or braai fires are only allowed to be made at the dedicated braai areas at the Hunter’s Camp, Guest House
- Where an animal has been proclaimed as injured by the owner the full head price will be paid. The hunting party will however make every effort to track down the animal at the discretion of the owner.
